This is not the confusion of Zhao Xiang alone. China's first batch of new energy vehicle power battery replacement period is approaching, the problem of recycling and disposal of used batteries is in sight.

At present, the domestic power battery is mainly a lithium-ion battery, and the positive electrode material in its composition may cause heavy metal pollution, and the electrolyte also has strong corrosiveness and toxicity, and is easy to generate toxic chemical gas. "A 20-gram mobile phone battery can pollute the water of three standard swimming pools. If it is abandoned on the land, it can pollute 1 square kilometer of land for about 50 years." Wu Feng, a professor at Beijing Institute of Technology, once worked on lithium-ion materials. The environmental hazard of mobile phone batteries was analyzed. It can be seen from this that what happens if a new energy vehicle battery with a much larger volume is handled at will.

"But what the recycling party is worried about is that this method requires that the model and parameters of the used batteries are basically the same, so that they can be assembled and operated together." The technician believes that because China does not have a unified standard for power batteries, it should be widely used. There are still difficulties. 
According to reports, controlling the quality and safety of decommissioned batteries is a difficult point in the use of technology. It is necessary to develop relevant testing technologies and equipment to accurately determine whether decommissioned batteries can enter the market and determine the application scenarios. 
The reporter found that as of now, there are no large-scale enterprises involved in power battery recycling in China. The reason is that the cost of recycling and disassembly exceeds the value of the battery and lacks profit points. 
Enterprises must be responsible, and policies must be supported. 
In March this year, the Shenzhen Municipal Development and Reform Commission issued the “Shenzhen City Pilot Work Plan for the Construction of National New Energy Vehicle Power Battery Regulatory Recycling System”.Prior to this, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other seven ministries and commissions jointly issued the "Interim Measures for the Management of Recycling and Utilization of Power Battery for New Energy Vehicles". Both clearly stated that the responsibility of auto companies and power battery producers should be extended to the battery recycling segment. The successive introduction of these policies is forcing relevant companies to take action. 
Since last year, Beiqi New Energy has launched the “Qingtianzhu Project”. It plans to invest 10 billion yuan by 2022, build 3,000 optical storage and power stations across the country, and allocate 500,000 vehicles for replacement. 5GWh.
BYD, which uses "battery life-saving" as one of the selling points, commissioned the 4S shop to recycle the used batteries and send them back to the factory for testing, so as to decide whether to continue to use or to use wet recycling for dismantling. Because the same type of power battery is recycled, BYD has great convenience in the use of the ladder.
